The Vision
Mulva Hall is the future home for undergraduate education, academic departments, research centers, and faculty offices. When it opens in Fall 2028, it will offer teaching and convening spaces to help McCombs continue to attract world-class faculty and the best and brightest students.
The Business Neighborhood
Mulva Hall will be sited next door to our graduate and executive education facilities, creating a “business neighborhood” with a front door on University Avenue. The 17-story building and tower will offer views of the Capitol, UT Tower, and the University’s original Forty Acres.
The Donors
Mulva Hall is a donor-led UT building project with the largest total philanthropic sum ever raised. Visionary alumni and friends of McCombs began stepping up a decade ago to direct their generosity toward future generations of McCombs students.

Meet the Mulvas
Namesakes of the new education center are driven by family, faith, and community
A decade ago, when Miriam and Jim Mulva pledged $40 million to transform undergraduate education at Texas McCombs, they were fulfilling a commitment to give back to schools and communities that shaped them. Although Jim retired as CEO of ConocoPhillips in 2012, the couple stay as busy as ever with their community and philanthropic initiatives, from medical research to affordable housing.
